Biography
Rosie Cunningham painter
Location: Plymouth, United Kingdom
Style: Abstract
I am an established artist working out of my studio in Plymouth.
Since attending Plymouth College of Art and Design I travelled extensively throughout Europe, America, and the Far East; I attribute my love of vibrant colour from my time spent there. Mainly painting with acrylics, I have an eclectic style ranging from textured abstracts to illustrative and quirky portraits and painted mannequins.
My work has a global following and can be found in the homes of collectors in France, Eire, Italy, Switzerland, Australia, Lanzarote, the US and throughout the UK.
I have exhibited in Plymouth, Exeter, Exmouth, Totnes, Torquay and London. I was chosen to be one of six artists whose work was shown in the inaugural exhibition in the new art gallery at Powderham Castle and I currently have my art displayed in the AVA art gallery in Plymouth.
Recently I have turned my hand to murals, and I have found this new challenge very satisfying and fun to complete. My first mural can be seen on the busy corner of Molesworth Road and Wilton Street, which was commissioned by Plymouth Artists Together.
I was also commissioned by Plymouth Community Homes to paint a mural on a wall in Colin Campbell Court in the center of Plymouth, which depicts the diversity of its tenants in the area.
