Minu Achrekar is a self taught artist based in Leeds, Yorkshire, UK. She paints in all media but in the last three years has particularly enjoyed using alcohol inks for their vibrant results and fast paced, challenging process.

Minu loves to paint animals, landscapes and abstracts .She has developed her own techniques involving blowing and tilting methods to make the ink flow rather than using a brush. 

Minu is moved by colours,beauty of nature and all things in it and the play of light on objects. Her compositions move between representation to abstract with parallels that can be drawn to the human state . 

Minu has exhibited in solo and group shows all in Uk. She was selected for the prestigious show Flux 2022 in London in June  and an international exhibition in India in 2021. She has been interviewed for radio and newspaper. Her paintings are in private collections all over the world.

Minu also takes commissions to make bespoke paintings for interiors or capture family moments in her unique style .
